Relevance of using micro learning in teaching;

Micro learning is a small process  of learning which usually takes place within a short period of time.

Micro learning deals with relatively small learning units and short-term learning activities.

The term is used in e-learning and related fields in the sense of learning processes in mediated environments.

Micro learning is a type of  approach for skill based learning and education which deals with small learning units.

It involves short-term- ways designed for skill based learning and education.

A modern description of Microlearning refers to a learning technique that usually involves bite size lessons to engage learners to learn.

Furthermore, microlearning marks a transition from common models of learning towards a simpler one.

Although,Micro learning has also been said to be a promising topic in work-based learning.

The applications of micro learning have been widely studied in different fields.
About two years ago,  there was at least 476 relevant articles exploring the concept of micro learning.

Here are some of the relevance  of using micro learning in teaching;

1. It improves students retentive memory:
This process of learning is better than that of a long and one time process.

In addition, it gives room for students to learn in short or small repeated process.

It allows students to retain the knowledge and understand it better.

2. It saves time:
Research has shown that learning in small or bit sizes saves time.

It allows student to be able to understand better within a short period of time.

3. It improves students engagements:
Micro learning goes well with how the human brains take in ideas and knowledge.

However, it also allows them to be more engaged in their learning process.
