The Global Tech Africa (GTA) Conference, organized by Dr. Inya Lawal, CEO of Ascend Studios Foundation and Convener of GTA, brought together thought leaders and innovators from across the continent. During the panel session at the GTA conference, current customers (administrators) recognized SchoolTry for its significant contributions to educational technology.

SchoolTry’s CEO, Mr. Ismail Eleburuike, participated in a session alongside distinguished figures such as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Wahab Egbewole (SAN); the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru, Professor Musa Ahmed; the Director of ICT at Unilorin and Vice Chancellor of Muhammad Kamalud-deen University (MKU), Professor Rasheed Gbenga Jimoh; and the SA on ICT to the Governor of Oyo State, Mr. Adebayo Akande.

During the panel session, SchoolTry’s CEO, Ismail Eleburuike, emphasized the critical need to empower students through technology. Mr. Adebayo Akande, the SA on ICT to the Governor of Oyo State, underscored the state’s commitment to student capacity development, which led to the establishment of the Seyi Makinde Innovative Hub at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology.

In addition, Professor Wahab Egbewole (SAN) discussed how technology is essential for implementing any smart agenda effectively, particularly in the context of modern educational strategies.

Professor Musa Ahmed emphasized the importance of producing graduates who are both research-oriented and entrepreneurial, noting that this goal is achievable through the strategic use of technology in today’s rapidly evolving world.

Ralph Simon, CEO of Mobilium and widely recognized as the ‘father of the ringtone,’ also spoke at the event. He has been a driving force in advancing technology, with contributions ranging from mobile video innovation to new tech platforms and the development of A.I. devices.
