Effects of social learning in education;

Social learning shows that new behaviors can be learned by imitating others.

In short, the idea behind social learning  is that people learn by observing others.

Classroom and teaching designs often depend on the principles of social learning to enhance students’ memory.

Some of the most common teaching methods of social-learning principles are call-and-response teaching.

Others include, choral reading, modeling, and the guided participation method.

This is where the teacher tells the audience to speak a phrase.

The students both mimic the action and replicate it.

Although These method may or may not aid learning.

Furthermore,Social learning also refers to a type of learning that occurs when students learn from each other.

It’s the kind of learning that often occur in the classroom.

However, it can happen anywhere or  after a real or imagined interaction.

When students interact in digital communities or message in small groups.

Technology does, however, change the practice of social learning in important ways.

In addition,this ways  includes the increased speed of feedback, social interactions, the forms of punishment and rewards.

However, technology increases social learning and makes it more interesting.

1. The students are not accountable: “social learning” is also know as “social cognitive theory”.

This theory allows students to learn by simply imitating other people.

However, this method does not allow them to be accountable for their actions.

Since they are only imitating what someone else is doing.

2. It is not always realistic: This method of learning doesn’t always apply to reality.

Because everyone has different temperaments.
The various personality types are not always alike in every way.

What a student can do now another student might not be able to get it correctly.
It doesn’t mean that the student is dull.

However it just means that the students are different.

3. It reduces students interests: In some cases, students are asked to rehearse or imitate something over again.

The constant repetition of the same thing can lead to boredom.

The students can loose interests and they might not be motivated to learn.
